Comic-Con as the Token Black Girl - musings from 2012

I finally did it! I made it to San Diego for Comic-Con 2012! First, allow me to point out that black girls like myself being into comics, fantasy or science fiction are like Unicorns... nobody believes they exist. Well we do!
I admit, other black girl sitings at SDCC were few and far between. If we were plentiful, I wouldn't be the TOKEN black girl, would I?
